A welcome gift for families using Child Care Subsidy (Title 20)

At Foundations, we want every family to receive a meaningful welcome offer, regardless of how tuition is paid.

Families using the Nebraska Child Care Subsidy, sometimes referred to as Title 20, may choose a free family membership to either the Lincoln Children’s Museum or the Lincoln Children’s Zoo after completing their second full week of enrollment and attendance.

You can check your eligibility and be referred to apply for Child Care Subsidy by clicking here.

How the promotion works

Newly enrolling families during the months of July and August receiving child care subsidy may choose one of the following:

  • A family membership to the Lincoln Children’s Museum

  • A family membership to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo

The membership is provided at the family level, not separately for each enrolled child. Please make sure to mention this promotion during your tour or before your first day of attendance.

Your family becomes eligible after your child has completed two full weeks of enrollment and attendance at Foundations. Once that requirement has been met, we will confirm your choice and help arrange the membership.

Why we offer a membership

Child care subsidy covers an important service for working families, but families using subsidy do not receive the same immediate tuition savings from a “first week free” promotion.

We wanted to offer something that could be enjoyed by the whole family long after the first week of enrollment. A museum or zoo membership gives families more opportunities to learn, play, explore, and spend time together throughout the year.

What about families paying tuition out of pocket?

Families paying tuition privately receive their first week of child care free.

The value of one free week of tuition is greater than the total value of the museum or zoo membership promotion. Each offer is designed to provide a meaningful benefit based on how the family’s tuition is funded.

Families may receive the promotion associated with their tuition arrangement:

Using child care subsidy: One free family membership after two full weeks of enrollment and attendance.

Paying tuition privately: The first week of tuition is free.

A chance to make sure Foundations is the right fit

Every new family also receives a two-week trial period. This gives children and the adults caring for them time to experience Foundations, build relationships with our team, and decide whether our program feels like the right long-term fit.

Completing our enrollment form allows us to hold an available space for your desired start date while you ask questions, schedule a tour, and make your decision.
